Delaware County Republican Central Committee Meeting Minutes

December 6, 2021

7:00 p.m.     Days Inn

Present: Roger Helmrichs, Jeff Madlom, Kevin L. Glanz, Julie Vandermeer, Grant Gardner (Carlin Campaign), David Marks, Robert Kugel, Doug Robbins, Terry Griffith, Teresa Griffith, Cher Delperdang, Judy Eckman, Lynne Melchert, Kate Ehlts, Pete Buschman, Chelle Adkins (State Central Committee). 

Caucus training was conducted at 6:00 p.m. preceding our regular meeting.

Roger Helmrichs called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.  Motion by Jeff Madlom, seconded by Doug Robbins to accept the minutes of the November meeting as presented.  Approved.  Motion by Bob Kugel, seconded by Kevin Glanz to approve the Treasurer's report as given. 

 Legislative Reports:  Nomination papers for Governor Reynolds were passed to those present to sign as well as Ashley Hinson's nomination papers for the new District II she will soon represent.  

Chelle Adkins from the State Central Committee talked about some new bylaws recently adopted by the state committee:  The Young Republicans organization has been added to their auxiliary groups; emergency meetings for their committee can be called by the chair, co-chair or five members of the committee with just a 12 hour notice instead of ten days; only registered Republicans or invited guests can attend State Central Committee meetings to avoid disruptions.  The Election Integrity Team which helps keep elections fair and honest is looking for poll watchers and workers as well as encouraging those in the legal profession to get involved.   Craig Johnson from Buchanan County will be running for State House in his new district.  He is currently a State Senator.  Everyone is encouraged to subscribe and look at the e-mail newsletter sent out by Kolin Krompton and share with friends and neighbors.  

Dates to remember:

February 7, 2022: Caucus at West Delaware High School Old Gym (upper level).

March 12, 2022: County Convention at Delaware County Courthouse Courtroom.

April 23, 2022: District Convention TBA

June 11, 2022: State Convention.

Julie Vandermeer is moving to Michigan and we wish her well as she becomes active in Republican politics in that state.  

Next Meeting will be January 3, 2022,  Meeting adjourned at 7:45.
